Short Republic Day Speech For Class 10

Good morning everyone!

Today, on this bright January morning, we gather to celebrate not just a day, but a dream – the dream of 75 years of our Republic!

Think back, close your eyes. Imagine the whispers of freedom fighters, the courage in their hearts, the ink of the Constitution drying, making us not just people, but citizens. Citizens with voices, with choices, with dreams as big as the sky.

Since then, we’ve walked a long road. We’ve built giant dams, sent rockets dancing among the stars, and learned to speak in a hundred languages.

We celebrate our differences, from mountains in the north to beaches in the south, from spices that tickle your nose to music that makes your soul dance.

But sometimes, friends, our road gets bumpy. Not everyone shares the same sunshine, not everyone has a voice that’s heard loud and clear. That’s where we, the future, come in!

On this Republic Day, let’s pledge to be the change we want to see. Let’s open our books, not our fists, to fight against ignorance and hate. Hold hands, not build walls, to bridge the gaps between us.

Let’s use our minds and hearts to make India not just a place on the map, but a home for every single one of us.

Remember, like Dr. Kalam said, “Dreams are not what you see in sleep, they are what you dream when you are awake.”

So let’s dream big, friends! Let’s dream of an India where every child has a book and a playground, where every voice matters, and where every heart overflows with pride.

So, as we raise our flag today, let it be a reminder – not just of what we’ve achieved, but what we can achieve together.

Let’s make these next 75 years even brighter, even kinder, even more AMAZING than the last.

Happy Republic Day everyone! Jai Hind!

On this Republic Day, let us pledge to work towards a stronger and more prosperous India.

Long Republic Day 2024 Speech For Class 12 and College Students

Hey everyone!

Good morning, and what a nice January day it is! Today, we’re celebrating not just a day, but a dream – the dream of 75 years of our Republic!

Imagine this: a long time ago, brave people fought for freedom, and then we got a Constitution. That made us citizens – people with voices, choices, and dreams as big as the sky.

Since then, we’ve come a long way. We built big dams, sent rockets to space, and learned lots of languages. We love our differences – mountains up north, beaches down south, spicy food, and music that makes your soul dance.

But, let’s be honest, sometimes our journey gets a bit tough. Not everyone has the same good times, and not everyone’s voice is heard. That’s where we, the future, come in!

On this Republic Day, let’s promise to be the change we want. Let’s open our books, not our fists, to fight against ignorance and hate.

Hold hands, not build walls, to bring us all closer. Let’s use our minds and hearts to make India a home for every one of us.

Remember what Dr. Kalam said, “Dreams are what you dream when you are awake.” So, let’s dream big, friends! Let’s dream of an India where every child has a book and a playground, where every voice matters, and where every heart is proud.

As we stand on the brink of the 74th Republic Day, it’s not just a ceremony; it’s a celebration of India’s journey – a journey marked by strength, progress, and a deep belief in democratic ideals. Today, let’s look at the cool things our country has done, with some numbers to make it even more impactful.

Seventy-four years ago, on January 26, 1950, India became a republic. That means we had our own Constitution, and we were no longer ruled by someone else. Our history is all about freedom and creating our own identity.

Now, let’s talk about the stuff that affects us directly – money. India’s doing pretty well! The World Bank says our money-making is good, with more jobs and more foreign money coming in.

In fact, for the fiscal year 2022/23, our GDP growth rate is a commendable 6.9%, and the projections for 2023/24 are a robust 6.3%. That’s good news for all of us!

Social stuff is something close to our hearts, right? Our reading and writing are getting better, and health-wise, we’re doing well too.

More women are joining work, making our country stronger. The literacy rate stands at 77.7% in 2021, showing strides in education.

Now, security is a big deal. We’ve set aside a lot of money for defense, showing how serious we are about keeping our country safe.

Our armed forces, with their cool toys like fighter jets and big ships, are standing tall and strong. The defense budget for 2023-24 is a whopping ₹5.25 lakh crore.

We’re a cultural melting pot, and that’s what makes us unique. With lots of languages and festivals, we’re a lively bunch. Diwali, Holi, Onam, Dussehra – our festivals are like a grand party!

Talking tech, India’s doing cool things. Our computer and tech industry is making a lot of money, and we’re exploring space with missions.

Plus, everyday things like ID cards and money apps are making life easier for us. The IT and technology sector contributed 8% to the GDP in 2023.

Democracy is our thing. We’ve had a lot of elections – big ones and small ones. A lot of us turned up to vote, showing the world how much we believe in democracy.

The voter turnout in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections was 67.4%.

Let’s not forget about Mother Earth. We’re taking steps towards a greener future – more clean energy, planting trees, and keeping things clean.

We care about our environment! As of November 2023, we have 175 GW of installed renewable energy capacity.

Internationally, we’re no wallflowers. India’s got a seat at the big tables and is making friends with other nations.

We’re also helping out when times get tough. During the COVID-19 pandemic, over 90% of adults in India are fully vaccinated as of January 2024.

Now, sports – that’s the fun part! We got a good number of medals at the Commonwealth Games, and we’re getting ready to host big sports events.

Sports is where we shine, my friends! A total of 12 medals were bagged at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

So, as we celebrate this Republic Day, let’s carry the torch of progress, unity, and strength forward.

India, the land of diversity and dreams, is on a journey to an even brighter and more inclusive future.
